Slash on Metal Hammer: "Roadrunner Records: A Year In Metal Part 4…Slash"

"What did the top hat-wearing, solo-loving, super-cool, Guns N’ Roses legend do with his year? Release an album, play some killer shows, release a DVD and…um…play some more killer shows. Not bad!

Releasing his brilliant second album Apocalyptic Love early in the year, Slash confirmed Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy as his permanent right-hand man, and the two – along with Slash’s band The Conspirators – blazed a trail around the world, including a memorable set at Download in June (no short feat when you’re up against The Prodigy and Devin Townsend) and a warmly received, fast-felling UK tour

All in all, it’s arguably been the most successful year ever in Slash’s solo career. We bet he’s well chuffed."
