Slash and Myles Kennedy, Eyegore Awards

Eyegore Awards

Horror icons and fanatics alike gathered at the entertainment capital of the world to honor industry veterans at the Eyegore Awards at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The Eyegore Awards kicked off this year’s annual “Halloween Horror Nights.” The event honors influential filmmakers, actors, special effects makeup artists, and other industry professionals for outstanding achievements in the horror genre.

Grammy award-winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and guitarist Slash received his Eyegore Award and performed the title track from his 2013 horror debut, “Nothing Left to Fear,” alongside vocalist Myles Kennedy. He was presented the honor by fellow recipient, “The Walking Dead” executive producer and SFX makeup supervisor Greg Nicotero. Though music is his primary passion, Slash, who is a Los Angeles native, was definitely amped to go experience the mazes after the awards show, including the twisted “Clowns 3D” maze which features his own original musical score. “It’s going to scare the crap out of some people for sure,” Slash said with a wide grin.
